Donetsk - heavy fightings reported, Horlivka - power supply 70 percent disrupted, bridge blown up

The government in Kiev denied sending the regular army into the centre of Donetsk, which the separatists captured in April, but said small 'self-organised' pro-Ukrainian groups were fighting the pro-Russian rebels in the city. (Photo of a pro Russian tank seen in centre of Donetsk, July 22)

The situation is not quiet in Donetsk on Thursday afternoon, July 24, with residents of the Kyivsky, Kirovsky and Petrivsky districts reporting sounds of artillery fire, the Donetsk city council said on its website on Thursday, July 24.
Yesterday, separatists from Donetsk attacked and robbed a large mall "Donetsk City". Losses from shops looting in Donetsk are estimated in millions of dollars. 

Horlivka - Power supply has been cut to over 70 percent of buildings and the Gagarin mine in the militant-controlled town of Horlivka in the Donetsk region.
