KrAZ Spartan Armored Vehicles to be equipped with Ukrainian Sarmat Anti-Missile System and Passed to the National Guard.
According to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, these armored vehicles were made by KrAZ plant - a domestic enterprise, Censor.NET reports citing the Verkhovna Rada press service.
Ten samples of the new powerful equipment were produced according to the National Army order with respect to the constructive comments, suggestions, and innovations.
"Our military need these vehicles badly. They are the best examples of such equipment not only in Ukraine, but also in the world," the head of the parliament said.
Turchynov expressed the hope that there will be a demand for them not only in Ukraine, but also abroad. "This will strengthen our export potential, and create additional jobs," he stressed.
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak admits that the armored vehicles have advanced weapons system installed. He also noted that this equipment will be forwarded to the ATO area in several days.

Lviv Paratroopers Departing for ATO
Today, Oct. 22, servicemen of the 80th separate airmobile brigade of Highly mobile airborne troops have left the city of Lviv to serve in Anti-terrorist operation.
This is reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the Defense Ministry.
They will join their fellow soldiers performing combat missions to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity in the east of our country.
Relatives, representatives of the command of the military unit, members of civil organizations solemnly said farewell to the defenders of the Fatherland.
Acting commander Lieutenant Colonel Anatoly Ichenskyi noted that the tasks that have to be performed in the ATO area will be extremely important.
"The situation in the territories temporarily occupied by illegal military groups is quite complicated. Therefore I ask of you balance, reasonable initiative, willingness to give a rebuff to the aggressors," he said.
Head of Lviv Regional Union of Afghan Veterans "OUR HOUSE" Petro Kovalishyn wished good luck to the boys in the service, and together with his brothers-in-arms passed on the protective gear for the paratroopers.
At the end of the event the military chaplain Mykhailo Beletskyi addressed the troops with a farewell prayer for peace and tranquility in the Ukraine to the paratroopers. He performed the ceremony of blessing them for military service.
On the same day as part of a comprehensive program to support the members of the anti-terrorist operation and their families, representatives of the city council passed on two sets of mobile fire complex "Garda-3."
