Oleh has spent over 3 weeks as a pro Russian prisoner. He lived in a 4-meter hole; he ate and drank not every day; his ear is torn and his leg is shot. But he says that torture was not the worst thing he survived. He asked not to publish his last name and not show his face because he is afraid his relatives might suffer.

As Censor.NET reports, LB.ua reporters found one of Ukrainian soldiers brought to the so-called Donetsk prisoner parade on independence day.

Oleh is a soldier of internal troops, who was working in the rear and did not participate in ATO. As he said, he was captured because of a betrayal, so he refuses to trust people and believe in God ever since. "They trully say, if God existed, he would not allow this," he told me firmly. At the same time, he compares DPR miliants with devils in hell: "But I think that even the devils in hell treat people better." On September 8, Oleh was exchanged with other 19 Ukrainian prisoners and released.

Oleh did not want to tell about the prisoner parade in Donetsk. Perhaps it is the most painful of his memories. He only agreed to describe the event shortly: "It was awful. Three prisoners, including me, were taken to the parade on August 24. They told us,"It's your holiday, so we're taking you to the parade."

The rebels procession in Donetsk on August 24 (Ukraine's independence day) violated the Geneva Conventions, which bar the parading of prisoners.

They put us behind a building, along with other prisoners. The cossacks, Vostok batallion, and Oplot hoisted their flags. The video on the Internet is bullshit. It doesn't show the most important thing. It doesn't show how a man's head was cut off. They forced him to kneel down in preparation for the parade. He disagreed, and his head was cut off. In front of all the people. I do not know who he was and who executed him - it was a man in a mask. But then we all fell to our knees. After that, some sort of scandal happenned, and the cossacks took the three of us back where we were kept," Oleh said.
