Over the past three days, state defense companies supplied more than 1,000 units of equipment and armament to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated by speaker of the Defense Ministry of Defense Viktoriia Kushnir, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
"State defense companies are executing the president's instructions to strengthen the defense capability of the army. During the past three days the Armed Forces of Ukraine received more than 1,000 units of new and modernized weapons and military equipment from state-owned enterprises, namely 21 radar stations, 18 howitzers, 10 armored vehicles, 493 units of new small arms," Kushnir said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
She also stated that over the past week, maintenance crews of the Armed Forces and state-owned enterprises repaired 30 units of missile and artillery weapons, 43 armored units and 235 units of motor vehicles.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine received nine Igla MANPADS, 10 Fagot anti-tank missile complexes, 917 firearms, 12 command and staff vehicles, and five freight trucks from the depots and warehouse arsenals," the speaker of the Defense Ministry said.
According to her, over the past week the Armed Forces purchased 720 bulletproof vests, over 5,000 Insulated jackets, more than 9,000 insulated pants, as well as padded high-boots, felt boots, wet suits, insulated and conventional undergarments.

50 thousand soldiers need to be mobilized by April - Poltorak

Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak stated, Censor.NET reports citing BBC Ukraine.
"The military draft is needed to create a reserve and replace military, who would have been in the ATO area for a year in March," - the Minister said. According to him, the first wave of mobilization will be the largest and will mainly concern the officers, the following two will be smaller.
He also promised that the mobilized soldiers will be sent to the hostilities area only after proper training and duly equipped. "We must be prepared to repel a possible attack at any time," Poltorak said. The National Security and Defense Council discussed that partial mobilization to be held in several stages during the meeting on Saturday.
