Anti-terrorist operation (ATO) troops, including special task battalions, on Aug. 12 liberated three towns in Luhansk region – Pervomaisk, Kalynove, and Komyshuvakha, the anti-terrorist operation press center reported with reference to the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
"Today the ATO forces, which included special purpose battalions, released three major settlements - Pervomaisk, Komyshuvakha and Kalynove," reads the statement.
"A special forces group of the Russian Armed Forces and about 30 terrorists were destroyed on the liberated territory."
The ATO press center reported that due to the offensive of the Ukrainian military conflicts escalated between various groups of terrorists - they lack weapons, ammunition, supplies and communications.

Ukrainian military men on Aug. 12 also liberated the town of Vuhlehirsk in Donetsk region from the terrorists, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko reported. "Ukrainian Armed Forces units today released the town of Vuhledar and raised Ukraine's national flag over a central administrative building," Lysenko said.

"Aircraft and artillery forces neutralized groups of terrorists that were put forward to strengthen the defense of militants near Shakhtarsk, Torez and Snizhne," Lysenko said.
