Ilovaysk is under control of Ukrainian military, rebels 'Militia' in Luhansk replaced by regular units of the Russian army

National Security and Defence Council Andrii Lysenko said Ilovaysk is under control of Ukrainian military. Reinforcement arrived yesterday.

"During the last week, Russian insurgents who controlled cities of the Luhansk region (Lugansk, Krasnodon, Antratsyt) units of local "militia" and the Cossacks, unable to resist the Ukrainian troops and involved in looting and banditry, were replaced by regular units of the Russian army." - speaker of the National Security and Defence Council Andrii Lysenko said this today at a briefing.

He also noted that in Perevalsk and Zorynsk cities, Maloivanivka, Mala Fashchivka, Verhulivka, Rozsypne villages reinforcements for terrorists have been arriving and they are arranging a long-term defense for these cities.

Terrorists get reinforcement, strengthen their positions around Alchevsk

Militants near Alchevsk have received reinforcements, and they are preparing for a long defense.

National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"The arrival of reinforcements for terrorists in Perevalsk, Zorynsk, Maloivanivka, Mala Fashchivka, Verhuliyivka and Rozsypne and the equipment of these towns for a long-term defense were recorded," Lysenko said.

He said that in other parts of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone active positional battles were underway on the outskirts of Luhansk, near Novosvitlivka and Khriashchuvate, Donetsk and Ilovaisk, Maryinka, Starobesheve and Olenivka in Volnovakha, Donetsk region.

"The shelling of Debaltseve with mortars mounted on vehicles continues," Lysenko said.
