Ukrainian troops liberate Yasynuvata

Yasynuvata, near Donetsk. Town is known for main railway junction of Donetsk region.

"Servicemen of the 95th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have taken control of the district center of Yasynuvata in Donetsk region, which is of strategic importance", President Petro Poroshenko has reported on his page on Facebook.

"The Ukrainian flag has been raised! The National Guard is completing the search for and elimination of certain groups of fighters," he wrote.

This is the second time Ukrainian forces retaking Yasynuvata, since this town in Donetsk region (pop: 37,000) Ukraine’s ATO forces first time entered on August 4, but left it next day.
"The liberation of Yasynuvata has helped reach Donetsk from north and cut off one of the important channels of supply of weapons and technology to terrorists," Ukrainian National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) information and analytical center spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at that time.
